Youth Summer Cooking Camp: Around the World (Ages 8-12 / Aug 15-19)
In this 5 day camp young chefs will take a culinary trip around the world from the comfort of The Local Kitchen, as they explore the foods of the Latin America, India, Asia, the Middle East and Europe.
Each day will start with a brief lesson on the culture and flavour profiles of the different culinary regions being studied that day, followed by a practical, hands-on cooking lesson. Students will learn to create authentic and delicious dishes in a fun and supportive environment. The young chefs discuss issues of food security and food equity, and they will explore the ingredients found at the Eastern Market.

Learn and practice cooking fundamentals in a fun and supportive environment
Discover cooking methods around the world, include kitchen equipment when possible, and how to adapt it to the typical home setting
